Great pages, I'll be sad to see Conrail go. I live two blocks from SEPTA's Lawndale station just south of the Trenton Lines CP Cheltenham Jct.

May the steel wheels keep running on the steel rails. Seriously, though, I have done "much" railfanning in NJ. Used to take the bus over to Staten Island from Brooklyn, walk to the Goethals Bridge and cross over into Elizabeth, E'port, Roselle, Linden, etc. Lotta rail history there, boy! Also, I'm SO pleased to see this new Bergen-Hudson LRT system being built. Who'd a thunk it, ten years ago! Now, with the ferries running over to Manhattan, the new trolleys running up to Hoboken and JC, and the proposed "Union Ferry Terminal" in Manhattan on the horizon, for a fan of the local transportation history this is like going back in a time machine...except that it's for real. Astounding, IMHO.
