Conrail SD60M 5544 leads PIOI eastbound at Manville, NJ on the Lehigh Line. The air brakes are now applied as PIOI is preparing to enter the controlled siding at CP Port Reading Jct, and take care of business at Manville Yard.

Pittsburgh to Morrisville via Allentown and Port Reading Jct is not the most direct route but when problems arise on the Harrisburg Line, as they did on this day in June of 98, it's the only route. Conrail SD50 6832 is on the point as PIMO waits patiently on the Lehigh Line at Manville, for over an hour, for TV 174 to clear the Trenton Line. After TV 174 cleared CP Port Reading Jct, OIPI pulled off of the controlled siding and into Manville Yard. Then SECS who was behind OIPI on the CS at Bound Brook proceeded west to the junction and then down the Trenton Line. Finally after SECS was in the clear, PIMO proceeded east and pulled into the CS at CP Port Reading Jct. The engines then uncoupled and ran around the train connecting to the other end and PIMO proceeded on its way down the Trenton Line.
